WELDED BAR GRATING SP

Welded bar grating is manufactured from steel using contact welding method. A bearing element is a bar which determines the whole product length. Welded bar grating structure implies its considerable stability to loads and high torsional rigidity.
A steel bar grating is resistant to corrosion due to galvanized coating. A bar grating can also be manufactured from stainless steel.

At present a welded bar grating is used almost in all fields of modern construction and industry. The main quality of a welded bar grating is its high resistance to distortion in case of considerable loads – which allows using it in such places as industrial stairways and ladders on different production sites, racks, cargo routes. Another important quality of a welded bar grating is anti-skid protection which is especially important on production sites, impured with lubricants or oils or fats as well as anti-icing.

A welded bar grating design allows using it as an ornament, creating building facade elements, staircases, etc.
This type of a welded bar grating is manufactured from weld steel (for example, from ст3 according to ГОСТ 380-94 РФ) by forge and pressing method according to DIN 24537.
Bar grating is manufactured without coating or with hot galvanized coating according to DIN 50976 (EN ISO 1461) ГОСТ 9.307-89 РФ.
Some types of welded bar grating can be manufactured from stainless steel 08Х18Н10 grade or its analogues.

Welded bar grating is manufactured with maximum sizes 6,100 х 1,000 mm, where 6,100 mm - bearing bar size and 1,000 mm. - bond bar size. For production of a welded bar grating a bond bar in form of a twisted square or a round cross-section is used. In order to provide anti-skid degree R11, according to DIN 51130, a round cross-section bar must have corrugation along its full length. A welded bar grating bearing element is ONLY A BAR. A bond bar fixes the position of bars and BEARS NO LOAD.

In conditions implying high risk of skidding from snow, ice, lubricants and moisture it is recommended to use a pressed bar grating "Serrated" type with anti-skid teeth.

Technical data (sizes of cells and bearing bars, weight of one square meter) of anti-skid teeth bar gratings are similar to technical specifications of standard bar gratings. Load characteristics of such gratings are converted with use of conversion factors indicated in the TABLE OF LOADS.

WELDED BAR GRATING SP FRAMING TYPES:

	TYPE А Standard framing type. Framing height is equal to bearing bar height. Bar ends are framed.
	TYPE В A framing is 5 mm lower than a bearing bar. Bar ends are framed.
	TYPE D Bar ends are framed. Used as a protective rib on technical maintenance sites.
	TYPE Е Bar ends are framed. Used in cases that a bearing bar is lower than a bearing bar of a support profile.
