RECOMMENDATIONS ON WELDED GRATING SP ORDER

Welded grating type is selected based on the Customer's requirements to the structures taking into account performance characteristics of floorings. When selecting geometrical sizes, it is necessary to take into account maximum standard sizes of the flooring: 6,100 х 1,000 mm, where 6,100 mm – maximum size of welded grating bearing bar and 1,000 mm - maximum size of welded grating bond bar. A welded grating bearing element is only a bar.  A bond bar fixes the position of bars and bears no load.

 

EXAMPLE ORDER of welded grating SP:

The customer must cover the area of 1,250 х 3,690 mm (see Figure) where the first size - 1,250 mm – is the distance between bearing elements (supports). In this case the size of a bearing bar will be 1,250 mm. (distance between supports). The size of a bond bar is determined based on its maximum possible standard size – 1,000 mm.

According to the order, for covering the area of 1,250 х 3,690 mm welded gratings are required:
1,250 mm х 1,000 mm – 3 pcs (where the first size – 1,250 mm – size of welded grating bearing bar,
and the second size – 1,000 mm - size of welded grating bond bar);

1,250 х 690 mm – 1 pc, (first size – 1,250 mm – welded grating bearing bar size, second size – 690 mm – welded grating bond bar size).
ATTENTION! If orientation of a grating is correct, bearing bar ends rest on bearing elements (bars, channel bars, etc.). If orientation is incorrect, flooring will not bear loads indicated in the TABLES of LOADS which may cause structural damage.
Sizes of welded gratings cells and bearing bars are indicated in the PRODUCTION PROGRAMME table.
Bar grating type is selected based on bearing load data indicated in the TABLE OF LOADS.

Advantages of welded gratings

At present different types of metal gratings have become widely spread, significantly exceeding other types of metal structures.
Pressed and welded gratings are used in construction of industrial and offshore platforms, sites and ladders, in construction of drill towers, racks and bridges, railway terminals, sidewalks and different other surfaces. It is widely used, first of all, due to significant strength of welded grating and resistance to distortion in combination with the reasonable price of this material.

Due to modern methods of welded gratings production, welded gratings can help realizing innovation design ideas. Besides, structures created using a welded grating from stainless steel or with galvanized coating do not only have exclusive durability but also good aesthetic look. A welded grating of high quality is not practically exposed to precipitation, sea salt and chemicals. One more advantage of using welded gratings is that they are light and can be quickly installed. Welded gratings let in light and have insignificant “windage”.
Due to these advantages welded gratings will be undoubtedly in great demand.
